If we could view many a forest below ground, we'd see that it is one huge organism connected by massive roots. Do you see people similarly connected through the human spirit (or divine intelligence or any other name you have for It)?
I see us that way as well as connected at the center of the earth through gravity.
(And connected cosmically through levity?)
Communication with another appears to be an outbound affair between separate entities, me and you. But communication is essentially an inside job because we are both in here together. I like the metaphor of humans entwined underground like trees in a common root energy system through which we communicate without words.
Building the Relational Presence "muscle" conditions us to start intentional communication from a place beyond words (or before words) in the common luxurious stillness we share, and to return to that shared expansive place in any moment. Breathing here dissolves self-consciousness and performance anxiety. Words follow without effort in their own time.
How has Relational Presence made a difference in your life?
